The 8 hour Basic Life Support for Executive Protection course trains our students in addressing mass trauma to a casualty using hemostatic agents, tourniquets, and chest seals. The students that attend learn advanced skills in both critical incident response and in assessing a casualty by applying the MARCH sequence. The MARCH sequence commonly found in TCCC applies treating Massive hemorrhaging, Airway, Circulation and Hypothermia (casualty assessment). This course takes the training one step further and addresses setting up a field treatment assembly point in response to a mass casualty incident.
This systematic approach to mass casualty response saves valuable time for first responders arriving at a chaotic post incident scene.
The first hour of treatment may be the difference between life and death. By expediting the assessing of casualties and directing follow on medics to casualties with immediate medical injuries may be the difference in life or death. Our training better prepares our students for the worst case scenario.”
