This course is designed to provide lay rescuers the ability to recognize several immediate life-threatening emergencies and intervene in a safe, timely, and effective manner.  This course covers CPR, AED use, choking, and first aid for adults, children, and infants. The class complies with all state (WISHA) and federal (OSHA) requirements. Students will receive a 2-Year Health and Safety Institute (HSI) Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, and Pediatric First Aid certification card upon completion of the course, which also includes a downloadable student manual at the completion of the class. 

If you work for a hospital and require an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver certification, there is an additional $10 charge. You will pay that additional fee on the day of the class.  Please arrive 15 minutes early and inform the instructor when you arrive the day of that you need the AHA card, not the HSI. If you need the AHA student manual, there is an additional $2.75 charge. 

This course does not meet the requirements for Healthcare Provider BLS Certification, but we do offer that class as well on our calendar.
